Can you use braided line on a Zebco 808 or 606?

I have a zebco 606 bowfishing reel, and was wondering if i could spool it with either Power Pro or Berkley Gorilla Tough braided line. I have always heard that a spin cast reel had to have mono line.

Spin cast reels do not have to have mono. Trust me, I have a Zebco 33 and i use braided 10 lb. line with it. Doesn’t have any problems i’m aware of. Braided Line is the way to go for Heavy Cover bass fishing, catfishing or carping.
